Amber Jackson represents employers in employment litigation, bringing her experience to bear regarding employment discrimination, wage and hour, hiring, termination, and federal compliance issues. She has defended employers against NLRB and EEOC charges, and—in addition to her litigation experience—she counsels clients on a range of labor and employment matters, including employee handbooks.

Amber served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Yvette M. Bryant in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, and she is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, currently serving as the co-chair of the Young Lawyers Section Council’s Charity Event Committee.

Amber earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.A. from Messiah College. While in law school, she served as vice president of the Black Law Student Association, where she organized a street law clinic, and as a teaching fellow for the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project, where she continued her involvement by serving as a judge for its 2015 national moot court competition.

As a lawyer focused on serving the community, Amber’s recent volunteer work includes efforts at an expungement clinic, a school of music, and a food pantry. She was a finalist in the ABA mid-Atlantic region client counseling competition and the recipient of the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Outstanding Law Student Award and the law school’s Student Leadership and Community Service awards.
